Dined here twice in the last week Food is good and reasonably priced Service is a mixed bag They have improve the furnishings and the place presents better but I think they have a layout problem as the service system just doesn't work

This place is totally unexpected. The food is the quality and class of that one would pay on a waterfront in a major capital city. Even better. The presentation is beyond belief and the taste has perfect balance in every dish. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. It is over and above almost every other restaurant I have been too.... We had been to Edamame a number of times before and were always pleased with the food. This time was different. Mostly because everything we ordered was unavailable - no duck, no shellfish. And then the drinks. They have an extensive craft beer list - looks great! BUT, after making 5 selctions that were unavailable it seemed easier to ask... More

We ate tonight at Edamame as we had done on several occasions before but tonight this is the last time. We ordered 8 meals (2 entrees) for 6 people and not only did they all come at different times but only 5 meals came out. We clarified the order at the time of ordering two times to make sure it... Best Japanese food in brisbane. Really authentic at a reasonable price. Easily the best food at the Ville. It's Byo and has Ramen to Wagyu beef options.

A very low key restaurant situated very near to the University. It reminded me of some of the restaurants I ate in when I visited Japan many years ago. Look through the menu and help yourself to water. We were there for a quick lunch prior to a meeting so we only had entrees. We shared the Karaage and also... More

To be honest... I didn't want to go in the first place because I was disappointed a few years back. My friends were already seated with a Asahi beer on tap so I joined. But what a surprise!!!! It was fantastic from the starter (Edamame - small and large plates), Entrees were great. Special thumb up for the karaage. The... More

The service was fantastic and the food was amazing! This little restaurant has come a long way in the past few years... Presentation and flavour surpasses the much more expensive Japanese restaurants in Brisbane!
