Enjoyed Aquitaine's location, food and friendly staff but there is a but. It is difficult to capture the reason why except to say we felt a little patronised. Arrived without a booking which seemed to set the scene. Our table placement was odd to say...More

The service was great ,location and atmosphere lovely. Unfortunately my entrée,escargot, was cold. My main, duck breast, which cost $42, was also cold everything was presented well. It's not just this restaurant, it seems to be an overall problem with Top end restaurants.Surely the chefs should...More

A wonderful dining experience tucked away on the southern end of Southbank. Superb food, fine wine and excellent service. Our waiter Russell was attentive and very friendly. We will be back. The experience was well worth the drive from the Gold Coast.

Description
ABOUT AQUITAINE BRASSERIE Inspired by L'Aquitaine in South West France, this river side dining experience brings together a journey from the Farm House to the Champs Elysees. The contemporary French menu is based on classic French recipes and is brought to life with fresh local produce and modern cooking techniques. Our Head Chef Sam Lonsdale has created a perfectly balanced menu that will appeal to all discerning diners. The wine list intrigues with the positioning of French and local wines together in a regional styles, categorised by palate characteristics rather than varietals. The cocktail list and spirit selection has a real French influence, while Aquitaine maintains an agreement to see direct importing of French produced Kronenbourg draft beer. Aquitaine sits between Popolo Italian Kitchen and Stokehouse Q at River Quay, South Bank, Brisbane and ads a real touch of French class to this thriving riviera.
