Harvey's was accommodating of our group of 10, and were quick and efficient with service and food preparation. The food itself was very bland, we had an assortment of meals and each were small and very over priced for what you got. For a 'James St' brekky it was very disappointing.

This place is one of Brisbane institutions. It's great for breakfast with good prices and accompanied by good coffee!

Another Brissy institution and always delivers. The grass fed eye fillet is a highlight, one of Brisbane's best steaks. Well done folks!

We quite often go to Harvey's for dinner before a movie and usually find the service and food of good quality and service. But unfortunately our last experience found us a bit wanting. We waited for ages for the waiter to come back to take our drink order and then although the food was very tasty the quantity has shrunk... More

This is an amazing restaurant with a great menu something to suit everyone. The wine list is extensive and the water was knowledge with suggestions. We were not disappointed.

Despite the cafe not being busy, the waiter REFUSED to split the bill between 4 of us insisting we pay the entire bill together. With so many restaurants & cafes on off in James Street, I would expect some small amount of personal service to keep patrons returning. But the waiter just stood there and argued longer than it would... More

I had breakfast here when I was on a business trip to Brisbane and the place was conveniently located not far from my hotel. The breakfast menu is quite extensive with the usual eggs, toast, etc. The outside terrace is a nice place to sit outside even during the hot Brisbane summer. Service was a bit slow, specially for the... More

Harvey's has been an "it" "spot in Brisbane for a long time. Some say it's an institution. No one can deny their quality food. I've always enjoyed breakfast whilst watching Brisbane's elite move up and down James Street. The restaurant itself is pokey. It's smallish whilst tolerable. They provide inside and Al fresco dining options. Bathrooms are clean as is... More

We had a overnight stay at Rydges Fortitude Valley and went to James Street for breakfast. Being a Monday morning very little was open so we went to Harveys. Staff saw us arrive and sit in the outdoor area but completely ignored us. Finally my husband got up and went over to the waiters station and asked for two coffees... More
