Some things never change as is said "if you do the same thing over and over again and expect a different result you are a bloody idiot". We have always enjoyed the meals served but the service has always been terrible. Staff spend more time socialising with each other than serving. So you have a choice, go there and know... More

Thank you to the chef and staff at the Continental Cafe for the sensational job of catering my partner's 60th Birthday party. It couldn't have been better. The private room was set our perfectly, the food was spot on, all our guests commented on how much they enjoyed their meals, and everyone's meals arrived at the same time (no mean... More

My family celebrated mums 70th in the private dining room adjoining the main part of the restaurant. The service was excellent, their signature chicken risotto very tasty, along with other main meals and coffee

Bewildered by the rapid and increasing changes in one of our favourite Brisbane areas, we decided to try Continental Cafe, knowing it is loved by locals. Our first visit had disappointed us many years ago. Must have been a "What the heck" mood because we are strictly not into the commercialization of St Valentine''s Day either, but finding somewhere a... More

Last dined at Continental Cafe several years ago. It's one of our locals so when we decided to go out for dinner on an impulse, the Continental came to mind. We were not disappointed. It had maintained the same high standards as our previous visits. Service was welcoming and friendly. Food, of course, was excellent - my wife asked if... More

It was simply 1 st class from start till finish. Brilliant service and food. Reminded us of a cafe in Paris. Highly recommended

Proper chef and team here. From the plating to the palate, perfectly cooked barramundi, confident French onion soup, and delicious duck. Unexpected quality with friendly service.

This is a great find. We have been here many times and everytime the food and service is terrific. The menu is stable with good choices for everyone and as the name suggests the theme is continental, mainly French and Italian but also there is the delightful liver and onions. Good wine choice too.

We had an early dinner here before heading to the movies and really impressed with the food and service. Great also that you can have dinner so early. Everything was fresh, well presented and reasonably priced. Definitely a place we will return to and it was lovely that the chef came over and spoke to us. Good size serves and... More

Group of 8. Service was excellent I had the 200g eye fillet Medium. It was well presented and cooked to perfection. As an entree I had the Bruschetta which was more than ample. Tomato was succulent and the oil topping added to the tomato flavour. The only issue was the seating which fir short legged people was uncomfortable.
