Called in to get some pies for our evening meal. They have a very large array of different meats including exotics like Kangaroo, Ostrich and Crocodile. Not being adventurous we plumped to a steak and Onion together with a steak and mushroom both were moist and tasty, they were so filling that I could not eat all of the pastry... More

Located on a side street off of Macrossan; they offer some Asian influence flavors like curry beef, green curry chicken, croc laksa, as well veggie offerings. The pies were larger & flakier than Port Pies (located next door on the same side street). A good place for breakfast, lunch or snacks.

Tried the Bush Kangaroo, Crocodile Laksa and Green Curry pies with my family. The kangaroo pies was the best. Meat is just right and moist. The weakest was the Crocodile pie where you couldn't taste what kind of meat was inside if you weren't told. They have sweet pastries as well and have won many local awards.

We came here with our family and grabbed some take away baked goods. The pepper pie was delicious. Great pastry and tender chunks of meat. Kids loved the sausage rolls which had grated carrot in them which was a great homemade feel. Will be back when visiting port Douglas

The most amazing pies, beautiful. Worth the money. Best in Australia had one of each . Not at the same time.

Do yourself a favour and call in and grab a Croc Thai Pie. Giddy Up. Would have liked a better selection of yeast buns.

Looking for something different for lunch and a bakery pops up. Some pies, sausage rolls and a pastie were purchased for the family. The best meat pie I've had for some time. Kids enjoyed their sausages rolls. I would eat here again and recommend this place to one and all.

Visited many cafes in Port Douglas, but this is the real gem if you want a great lunch. Famous Pies, but the Pasty was amazing, accompanied by good coffee and Amazing Friendly Service. It is a must visit !

Mockas has been around for years and a visit to Pt Douglas means pies for lunch on the beach. The pies are chock full of filling, great price and friendly service. The range of flavours is many with our favourites being the potato, chicken & veges, steak, bacon& cheese. Located down a one-way street the store can be easily missed... More

Wow! First tasted these pies 36 years ago whilst holidaying in Port and they are still the best tasting - 36 years later! Congrats guys, you are legends!

Re-opening of an iconic Port Douglas pie shop which closed for some years recently. Was possibly the best known pie shop in Australia due to the unique meat pie filling recipe. Now re-opened by Nigel Quinn using the original and still secret pie filling recipe formulated by Mocka Cheyne and his mother Belle Cheyne.
