A layed back casual dinner experience that was well worth the visit. After a morning of exploring Port Douglas township we found the yacht club. Great views looking onto the estuary leading out to the heads, relaxed atmosphere, good selection of beers, it really hit the spot for a lunch time meal.

Perfect setting along side the river. Open air dining in a very casual manner. Limited menu Won't win any Michelin stars. Pleasant staff.

My husband and I ate here on a Saturday lunch. The menu wasn't huge, but there was enough of a choice. We ordered the bucket of prawns and the Asian fish cakes, and we were both very happy with both. The beer was cold, and the service was friendly. We will be back!!

We haven't been here for a few years, but it will become one of our eating spots again, the food was amazing and great value. The curry was great. Thank you.

We visited this open to visitors club for dinner because it looked relaxed and comfortable in the heat of a FNQ summer evening and we weren't disappointed. Very generous serves of fish and chips and chicken schnitzel were served promptly. Both meals were tasty and very well priced for the amount of food brought to the table. Service was casual,... If your like me and you love boats you will enjoy wandering around the club. I was told that a multi-million dollar upgrade was in the works so that the mega yachts could dock - that would be a sight to see. Nearby are all manner of eateries and assorted tourist shops if you are in the mood to spend... More

Lovely sitting outdoors amongst the palms. Sit beside the river and watch the boats go by. Great food.

I have now eaten there twice, and was underwhelmed both times. On the first occasion, a lunch with friends, I did not feel that the chicken schnitzel was made from a chicken breast, but probably preformed chicken. The second visit was with a group for Xmas lunch, and I have to say that the roast that I had was worse... More

Pat, The Chicken is bought in fresh and prepared daily in the Kitchen. "Preformed Chicken" what can I say except for your are totally wrong! We had 120 guests at the Club for Christmas lunch and we received rave reviews. Its always disappointing when people choose to wait a Month before mentioning something rather than addressing the issue straight away... More
