On the ground floor of the restaurant, with comfortable seating and even a deck/boardwalk right on the water. Very good service from the staff and meals were nicely prepared and offered.

Sandy Bay venue in modern restaurant near the Casino with sea views. The food was excellent and so was the service. With hesitation I chose the Cape Grim brisket main and the waitress came from the area which made the meal even more interesting - cooked for eight hours in wine and utterly delicious. My partner chose lamb rump, also... More

Food was excellent and so was the service, my daughter and I had not long arrived from Melbourne and we were really hungry, we decided to eat here because the menu catered well for my daughter who is a vegetarian, however their tables were all booked out as there was also a show that night, however the lady who greeted... A waterside fine dining restaurant at reasonable prices. Lots of tasty gluten free options but it is not marked in the menu. However the staff are delightful and very willing to describe what I can have. They even changed my companions side dish of fries to put the seasoning on the side so I could partake! The food is high... More

This superbly located restaurant overlooks the Derwent River with great views, night and day. There is an excellent lounge to have a pre-dinner drink. The menu is well priced and offers a wide selection of entrees and main courses. Servings are very generous, so watch how many sides you order. I had a superbly cooked beef fillet (rare) and birthday... More

We had evacuated to Wrest Point during the recent storms and power blackouts - staying only overnight. Wanting the path of least effort we went down to Pier One, on the complex's boardwalk, expecting the usual hotel fare. But we were wrong. The service was probably the best we've experienced for a long time. We two were placed near a... More

Description
There’s waterfront dining, then there’s Pier One Restaurant. On a sunny day out on the deck, you could almost dip your toes in. This casual, bright Hobart restaurant is your place to sit with a chilled Tasmanian sparkling, good friends and delicate oysters.

There’s something about dining in Hobart right by the water; interesting full flavour fare and plenty of seafood goodness. Why not share something from the Light Menu - everything from local cheese plates to exquisite Tasmanian seafood pizzas. Pier One is Wrest Point Tasmania’s definition of relaxed, quality dining by the water’s edge.

Open from 11am daily until late

Lunch from 12pm

Dinner from 6pm
