We had 4 entrees, shared between the two of us and I have to tell you it was a pretty good option. The staff were very friendly and the place was not overly crowded.

We had a Porterhouse Steak and a Chicken Parmigiana the night we visited. We did book earlier in the day and got a plum seat overlooking the Derwent estuary. The steak was done medium as requested and came with a serving of chips and a moderate salad. The Chicken Parmigiana was requested with the 'Supreme' sauce which consisted mainly of... More

We ordered Squid as an entree for $ 15-50/each. It arrived on a small plate with 4 tired sallad leaves, 3 tiny squids and a couple of cut up pieces of squid, which were very chewy, in a really fatty sauce, with a very fatty chili dip. How are you supposed to eat that??

A group of four of us were looking for a meal after a conference at the nearby conference and exhibition centre. The menu had limited options, most of which were very traditional choices. I had the Chicken Caesar Salad and it was quite tasty, but overpriced for the serving size.

The Bristro is set in a lovely location over looking the beautiful Derwent River. Very relaxing with a lovely bottle of wine. We both had the lamb shanks and they were the worst I have ever eaten.something was not right with the flavour.

We have just eaten at this restaurant/bistro and are staying at the hotel. I ordered the Fisherman's Catch. It was very poor, with only a half of a piece of fish! Naturally in a place which is on the water and where seafood is aplenty , this was pathetic. Compared to other meals of a similar content elsewhere, the prawns, scallops and calamari... More

I did read Tripadvisor first, usually won't go near anywhere that gets the type of recent reviews that this place has on TA, but this time we took a chance. (were already nearby). Sunday night, no booking, seated as walking in, window view table, told how to order, and what daily specials were. Food came in approx 20 minutes, was... More

We went there on Jan 1st and I believe they were short of staff, but the experience we had was pretty bad. We were told that the wait for food would be long, but the problem was that the dishes were served at different times and the whole table ended up eating separately. Besides, the eye fillet was served cold.

We went there for dinner and we had to wait a while to get greeted and being able to talk to a server to have us sit. We ordered salad and mains and asked to bring everything together. They said it was going to take 20/30 minutes to serve the food but it took almost an hour. When the food... More
