I settled on the small "stage" outside, enjoying a beer until other tables had read the specials board, since I'd seen a great baked eggs breakfast there the previous day when I'd already eaten The Brown rice bowl with coconut wallaby, fermented daikon and all the greens and yoghurt $22 sounded interesting and my friendly waiter went to check how... This place is tucked away down an alley near the entrance to the Peacock Theatre. The coffee is really good, juices are delicious and the breakfasts (especially the danish rye bread) and to die for. We pop in whenever we're in Hobart and it never disappoints.

This cafe is hidden away amoung the beautiful old convict built Salamanca Arts Centre. The staff are polite and accommodating. It has a private little area or you can be a little more exposed to the walkway that seperates to 'alleyways' of the Art Centre. The food is good and they offer a range of alternative options.

Went here with 3 friends for breakfast. The location and cafe was cute and the food was ok (menu had 5/6 items only), however the waitress seemed grumpy and didn't want to be there which definitely reflected in her attitude and service. Coffee guy seemed good.

While Salamanca markets were on I wanted to sit outside and listen to a wonderful singer. This cafe has a few tables in the main Salamanca area, while the main cafe is down an arcade. So I went and ordered a mug of flat white and a friand and enjoyed it in just the right place, listening to the young... More

Tricycle Cafe is such a cute little hidden gem. I love that is is situated in the arts center and the seating is under a big skylight. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. I really enjoyed my coffee and my ham & cheese sandwich. Tricycle Cafe is the perfect lunch spot when you are strolling around the Salamanca area.

Staff are always friendly, great coffee and a wonderful atmosphere due to it being in the interior of a building. You can also sit out the front and watch the world go by in lovely Salamanca place

Very cute little cafe that had been recommended to us. Good quality healthy food (lovely grainy dense bread) and good coffee. Definitely worth it if you like something a bit different for breaky

This is a perfect spot to grab a quiet lunch in a great atmosphere. Wonderful and delicious food selection, all very healthy and unique. Great coffee and tea. I would highly recommend this place over one of the larger more popular places on the main drag.
