Terrible service, wait, I can't even say that.... cause we didn't get served! Waited 20minutes and didn't get acknowledged. Got our own menus and water. Had to leave as I was about to die of starvation. The plus, went next door to harbour lights cafe - FANTASTIC AMAZING BRILLIANT

We stopped by randomly to get some lunch while walking down to the water. We ordered two appetizers and a main to share and we were both in complete agreement that all three were absolutely phenomenal, and that is after eating at several of the high end restaurants in Tasmania. The salt & pepper squid is perfectly done and the... More

Waterfront hotel - old - with dining room and accommodation. Dinner menu offered good choice. Service was prompt and friendly. On a very busy night they were able to provide quite space for family gathering. Had bar during day and all staff were friendly and obliging

This was a huge meal. It looked spectacular. The mussels were the biggest I had ever seen and tasted delicious. Scallops melted in your mouth. Calamari so soft and it goes on. Would have liked the three different plates to have come our separately. By the time we got to the bottom plate it was cold. But still tasted delicious.... More

This well positioned restaurant near the harbour is compact and the night we visited, booked out. The layout though not uncomfortable,is somewhat cramped The food is good concentrating on fish with oysters, mussels, scallops and fish being at the centrepiece of the menu. But there is plenty of variety. I opted for freshly shucked oysters (very good) and blue eye... More

We shared excellent fish croquettes and my wife enjoyed the blue eye. I just had a seafood chowder which was a bit too creamy for my taste, but included plenty of fish. The waitresses and barman were pleasant and working hard. The room is spacious and the tables not too close to each other. It was a pleasant evening, if... More

The seafood platter at 98.50$ for 2 is good value! The stone wall room has a lot of character, and service is friendly. Good choice of wine. We got a table with less than 1 hour notice on a Friday night when all fine dining places in Hobart were fully booked. Still better to book! Very well located.

i had lunch in this restaurant and i ordered the scallops and chips, and the waitress certified the size of the scallops was around 2 - 3 cms. The dish arrived and the scallops were generously battered and the whole size was 2-3 cms but when you search the scallop in the thick batter layer you find a tiny scallop... More
