I am only a novice eating Japanese so the staff were pleased to help with my selection. The choice she made suited my requirements and the quality was better than i expected. Great follow up checking if all was ok. Price was very reasonable. Nice atmosphere. My Daughter and I will definitely be back.

Midori is a very small casual Japanese Restaurant, and Takeaway, in North Hobart. My friend and I visited recently, and felt lucky to find a vacant table, as the restaurant has very limited seating, and is very well patronised. We were impressed by the friendly service, the decor, the food, and the Japanese beer on offer - all lending itself... More

Been here a few times and the food has always been amazing. It's a cozy little restaurant and the staff is amazing. Always with smiles and very helpful with recommendations of dishes. Would recommend anyone to go there. No doubt you will enjoy the food and the coziness.

I have never rated a restaurant "Terrible" before, however this "restaurant" deserves it & I'd like to warn unsuspecting visitors. The food was of the greasy and unappetising variety - not unlike the stuff you get in the food warmer of a service station. The gyoza were big, heavy, tasteless and the pastry was thick & chewy - not fresh... More

This little restaurant sure packs a punch! We dined with our two teens and loved it...fresh, delicious food, a BYO option and located in funky Elizabeth St, North Hobart where we could stroll after our dinner, meant that is was a very enjoyable evening.

After having spent 2 weeks in Tasmania our final night was a total treat at the Midori Japanese Kitchen. The servings on the sets were certainly most reasonable and the food tasty. The wait staff were lovely and most attentive. Whilst the restaurant is quite small, it was certainly comfortable with plenty of room at each table. If ever in... More

My partner and I usually go there for a dinner. We used to enjoy the food there a lot. But last time, we ordered "Midori special set", and "Pork katsu set". The taste was awful, nothing like before. It is so disappointing!!!

If you are picky like me on the taste of sushi rice, then don't bother. Price is cheap but putting together seaweed, rice and raw fish doesn't make your food Japanese.

Wanted something special for a family dinner and decided on Japanese and the Midori. May not be 100% traditional Japanese ambience or food, but near enough to be enjoyable. Food was fresh and an enjoyable experience.
