Just passing and thought we would pop in for a snack. Shared the egg and bacon pie with a bowl of salad. More than enough for 2 of us. Very tasty and fresh.

Have been there several times now, almost a must when in Hobart. Lovely array of breads, pastries and cakes and also a very popular and busy cafe. Quite a large eating area in different rooms but sometimes still worth waiting for a table. Have usually had breakfast there but sometimes lunch or afternoon tea. Nice juices and coffee and a... The absolute best bakery I've ever visited. The most buttery, melt-in-your-mouth croissant I've had the pleasure of eating. By 9am the place was absolutely packed with no where to park so we didn't bother eating in. Instead I went a little crazy and ordered whatever I could see. Almond croissant - best pastry I've ever had, but was disappointed to... More

Pleasantly enjoyed a great cup of coffee while filling in 20 minutes in New Town . Couldn't resist the pastries on display & added a tart to the coffee. Very enjoyable . Bought a loaf of bread when leaving which was great . Lovely bakery

I bought a lemon-passionfruit meringue tart for takeaway, for a hefty $7.50. It was at least a day old (pastry tasted distinctly of fridge). The meringue had been applied following the iceberg-principle: at least as much below the pastry line as above... leaving the tiniest amount of lemon filling I've ever seen in a lemon meringue tart. And the passionfruit?... More

The breads and baked desserts are outstanding. Really worth going there but we went twice and coffee was not deserving of a 5 star rating. Needs a good barista if this place wants to be on the must go to map. Pity as the quality of baked goods, the pastries are worth it.

After a pleasant coffee experience we decided to return for breakfast a couple of days later - and were not disappointed. It is very popular and the staff were running, but maintained their composure. The display of baked delights and bread is real drool material.

Stunning food and setting and a fantastic place for breakfast and/or brunch. Given the popularity and quality of food/coffee would have thought they'd have at least 2 baristas working - so coffee does take a bit to come out, but good coffee nonetheless Will be heading back for sure

Nice duck and pistachio sausage roll, great coffee, good service too. The pastries are all made with butter not marge, and they use heaps of local produce too. Top place.
