We stopped in at the Lindt Cafe for a Mocha and a Flat white and sat in the seating outside the cafe and watched the world go by as we enjoyed them. The coffees were great and the staff are friendly and interactive.

We had afternoon tea here & didn't want to leave. While the decor is modern it was very inviting. My husband & I shared a sweet but had to have another one. They are by no means cheap but they are made from good quality chocolate & tasted great. We will add this to our list of go to places.

If you need a break from shopping or just want to get out of the cold Melbourne weather...actually, you don't really need an excuse to visit the Lindt Cafe!! Just go there and try to decide what to taste first!! Enjoy.

I know the main reason why you would go to this place is to indulge yourself with the sweet, sweet flavour of chocolate. But, Lindt is a brand that should give you a lot more than just a table (half clean) for you to enjoy your dessert. We all had the Lindt "Dome of Decadence", which as you probably might... More

Just because it was very nice and hot day. I really needed something tasty and cold.. I knew this place from very first day since i moved into melbourne but never had chance to visit. So i finally tried! It was hard choice between their chocolate milk shakes or sundaes... but seems like i made a right decision. Their sundae... More

I had the hot chocolate drink. It was a big beaker of frothy hot milk and had a separate container of melted chocolate of my choice (milk or dark). I mixed my own beverage, but could not drink it all. Delicious. The cafe was bright and shiny and the huge variety of chocolate bars and truffles in display was very... More

A friend and I went there for a treat, we had a hot chocolate and flat white with dessert platter. The platter included macaroons, brownies, Chantilly cream, ice cream and chocolate balls. The drinks were perfect, the hot chocolate was with real melted chocolate, really decadent. The dessert platter was really nice, the brownies were warmed and just delicious on... More

Was really looking forward to a "proper" hot chocolate. I was pleased to see the little pot of choc however the jug of milk was very small. The milk was luke warm. My partner's coffe was also luke warm ( coffe buffs may say this is the correct temp) Whilst this is a busy area and people coming and going... More

My husband and I have always been fans of the Lindt chocolate brand. We love the Collins Street venue because they really do a good job. Somehow the times we have visited this little cafe has fallen short. Last night we specifically asked for our hot chocolates to be extra hot, we know they heard us because they repeated it... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
