We requested a seat by the window and got exactly that, terrific views on from level 35. The service could not have been better, the half bottle of wine was prefect for the two of us and the food was a little unexpected ... explosions of taste with each bite. A must try when in Melbourne.

Had dinner here for our anniversary recently and were able to get a seat by the window so we could enjoy the wonderful view. Excellent food and service and our waiter was very attentive. We didn't have desert but they brought us a plate with happy anniversary decorated in it with chocolate and fruit. Lovely touch 👌

Excellent food at No 35, all sampling different dishes and enjoying everyone. Only improvement would be the service, often slow and occasionally forgetful. Should be a lot more seamless to match the food standards and atmosphere. Amazing views over the city, definitely worth it even just for the views.

Very disappointed with our dinner on 18th February. We come to this restaurant several times throughout the year, over the course of 10 years. We have never been so disappointed like we were today. It was my mums 50th birthday. Our booking was 5.30pm, however we arrived late due to the heavy traffic due to "white night", which we were... More

Friendly efficient service and a great spot to celebrate my friends 50th Birthday. It wasn't too busy so we were lucky to get a table with the view. My one complaint would be the Coconut Panna Cotta did not have the coconut flavour sadly. In saying that I would still recommend the restaurant.

A great restaurant with stunning views of Melbourne down to the bay. The food is excellent with an inventive menu. I did the pre-theatre this time and it was great value for money. 2 courses with a glass of wine for $60. Service is impeccable and they always make a special occasion just that touch more amazing.

Beautiful meals, spectacular view of Mel city. The only let down is the service was slow and we waited awhile for food and drinks. The waiter who served us looked very uninterested to be at work or didn't like his job LOL which didn't overly bother us as we thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered.

I booked a window table with a good view well in advance of the date, but we didn't get this, hugely disappointed as it was the main reason we chose the restaurant. I had enquired at time of booking whether my vegan preference would be catered for. I was told yes it would be. It was not the case at... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
