I picked this place solely on its trip advisors reviews. It did not disappoint. There were no seats inside at 7 PM so I said I took one of two tables in an alley that is under construction. Not much of a view, but the...More

Fantastic food while hearing the French language in the kitchen made it a real overseas experience whilst still in the CBD of Melbourne. Definitely worth the visit!

The hospitality of France, if you may. This hidden gem is absolutely one of my memorable experiences in my trip to Melbourne. The place itself is tiny, but people don't mind since the staffs are extremely friendly and very helpful. The crepes? They were absolute...More

Lovely galette, with a wide range of fillings. It's nice to find such a wide range of gluten free options and served by great wait staff. Reasonable prices an quick service. There's work going on in the lane, but don't let that put you off....More

Very French. Enjoyed the signature dish. As a visitor, it felt very Melbourne as well, and am happy to recommend it.

I think I was lucky, as I got there when only one table was taken, but after a few minutes, the place was full (it is tiny, though, with only 4-5 tables inside. I had the cheese, ham, and mushroom crepes with an egg on...More

It can be quite hard to get a seat here as it is very popular and very tiny. But if you can, it is worth it. Great Galette and Crepe menu, plenty of options and very authentic. We ate here for breakfast on a Sunday,...More

Had breakfast here today. What a treat. You can choose from Gluten free savoury gallettes or sweet crepes. So yum. I had a cinnamon and apple crepe. It was relish. Coffee was good too. What a busy little place. Staff are fantastic. French, friendly and...More

Overall the service was on point and the food was delicious yet flavoursome. I reached into the claypot to retrieve my G-Banger which got tangled in the froth broth. It was right up there. Alas it was too deep to retrieve so I ordered the...More

Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways
tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary
feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the

throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You
never quite know what you’ll find around the next
corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and
even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air

Description
Roule Galette is a little piece of France in the city where you will find French staff, speaking the language of Voltaire who will serve you in a warm and intimate setting reminiscent of Montmartre in Paris. Music, whether Breton or French songs of the last century or more modern times will accompany your meal along with authentic Cider from the Pays d'Auge in Normandie, or Cotes du Rhone or Burgundy wines. Not to forget the inimitable Orangina.
