We walked past the store and were tempted to taste the bun and it was great..We had the Teh Tarik with the bun and it was a great combo. Its a very unique product and everyone must give it a try.

We only had some coffee out here as it was mid afternoon. Would have loved to have a meal but was short on time.

Only stopped here for a couple of coffees after dinner whilst waiting for our tram. Perfect temperature and a well rounded taste.

It was an excellent experience for me to taste the Pappa Roti for the first time in Melbourne while travelling towards Flinder's street station. It attracted me only for it's bun backed freshly in front. Thought the price is a bit higher but the taste is really different and should be tasted by you.

I came across this in Indonesia and have found two places that bake it in Melbourne. One in the city and the other is out in Springvale. It is like having a strong coffee in a bun. Smells absolutely delicious and tastes good too with a black coffee or black tea since it is a sweet bun.

yummy...my daughter loves it very much. Having two of this bread with a cup of tea in the breakfast time make you forget your problem for a while.

We came across Pappa roti cafe while taking a walk in the precinct. The look of that bun drew us inside and the delicate aroma of coffee arising from it just compelled us to try it. After that we were hooked. The bun is truly unique in its texture and taste. There is crispy and soft, slightly sweet and slightly... More

Seriously, you have to try those buns. $2.50 for a slice of heaven. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, a simply wonderful delectable snack.

Nice bread. Cheaper than a muffin. It would be even great is the promotion can be buy 4 and get 1 free rather than buy 9 and get 1 free.

Don't be put off by the 'fish and chips' look of the place. Have a Malaysian Tea and a roti bun... I guarantee you'll be back for more!! I discovered Pappa Roti in Dubai whilst on holidays.... it's addictive. ...nice friendly staff too (BTW it doubles as an internet cafe..but don't be put off)

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
