Delicious yum cha- BBQ pork steamed buns were awesome. Shame about all the birds which have clearly been fed by patrons.

Had a great mid week lunch here. The yum Cha is high quality food and there is a good selection. Be careful when booking though, dinner they do a la carte but have been told on the phone by staff it it Yum Cha, it's not!

I organised our Christmas party here (25people) and it was one of the easiest things I've had to organise. The staff at Oriental Tea House were excellent, followed up with emails and phoned me to confirm the booking and were helpful when we had to amend the booking. Cody was great on the night and ensured we all had heaps... More

What a find! Fresh Asian food in a delightful setting - classy but funky cafe/restaurant. Lunchtime has Yum Cha with many classic and varied dishes or order a la carte. Beer, wine and teas etc all available, service is cheerful and quick. Ideal for business lunches as well as busy shoppers! Very reasonably priced, appears very clean (unlike some in... More

Great spot tucked away in little Collins St. You can just order off the menu of your favourite Yum Cha. And don't forget to order the tea!!

Enjoyed a very delicious lunch here with a friend. The dumplings were outstanding. If dumplings are your weakness, be sure to come here.

We did not have a reservation but they were able to seat us. The waiting staff were very friendly and efficient. The food was excellent and the price was very reasonable. Would visit again the next time we are in Melbourne.

How can a waiter forget one persons drink, give two people water and not the other, forget to bring the bill after it was requested. Answer when they are too busy socialising. Good food lessen by Lowe than average service

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
