We are very close neighbours of Sister Bella's and have never even thought of going there, who would want to sit in a bar down a pokey laneway full of second rate graffiti?. However, after a visit there this evening who wouldn't? Yes the laneway is a bit ropey and no the graffiti doesn't even come close to Bansky but... More

We went here on a week night and was not of the only places that was busy and has a good atmosphere! Drinks weren't over expensive and is a really cool little bar. The entrance is a bit hidden, down a lane you probably wouldn't think to go down otherwise. It seems to be the place to go!

Good value drinks and a chilled vibe make this place, but the alcoves with easy seating and games to play helps the evening along too. Go here, its worth looking up.

I discovered sister Bella upon reading about it somewhere and as I LOVE a good hidden bar in Melbourne I was very excited to try it! Typical hidden alleyway down sniders lane, amazing graffiti on the wall! The atmosphere is amazing, very quirky and cool with a swing seat downstairs and a narrow flight of stairs leading you to the... More

Cheapest drinks we have found in Melbourne for students and foreigners! To get there you have to turn into an alley from an alley. Fun environment with awesome graffiti. Put down a deposit and you can borrow some board games to play with friends. Got another shop a bit down the road that's next to the main road. Twice the... More

Was halpy to find tjis place with a cool easy going crowd. It had a busy but relaxed atmosphere on a warm Saturday night. Love the location and $10 jugs!

I went there to have a drink with friends and it's good because they have happy hour until 7pm on week days. The place inside is amazing, you can always find a corner to have some privacy.

Drinks in a lively bar with good music playing and pleasant staff. Food available. Worth a stop when exploring the many drinking outlets in the back streets of Melbourne. Thanks for the vote if you found this review helpful.

Serving great coffee, milkshakes and fresh tasty gorgeous food with a smile, this place has been a favourite for a while. The service is friendly and accommodating, always looking out for the best table to fit our party's needs, inside and outside. See the photo of a dish: pumpkin smash with poached eggs, chili and homous on grainy toasted bruschetta.... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
