Great location on Flinders, just round the corner from Coda and Lucy Liu. Love the brick walls and low-lit ambience. Tough choice for a light lunch between the small meatball option (12 small balls) with Wasabi, garlic cream and BBQ sauces and the Classic House fave. We chose both! Three steps to choose the right meatball experience, the meat, the... More

Being overlooked for a table in preference to the couple behind me in the line wasn't the greatest start .... Then being told that they don't serve salads after 4 ( there is very tiny small print on the menu to be fair) wasn't the greatest middle. Thankfully the skewers were delicious ( though they could do with a sauce... More

......Still waiting for our food. Place only 1/3 full, and waitress did not place our order Had to double check our drinks order at the start. Go elsewhere; if this is service at a quiet time, you have NO chance of food or service at peak hour,

Very varied wine list and some innovative cocktails. Nice outside seating in a very busy laneway. Great for people watching.

My friend and I went for breakfast. I had the Avocado Caprese with a poached egg and my friend had the Breakfast Hero. We both also had cappuccinos. The food was incredible! Service was a little slow, but definitely worth the wait. The waitresses were so lovely and the decor was pretty cool. Will definitely be coming back!!

Having been here previously my husband and I decided to head back and it didn't disappoint. We started with a cheese and meat platter which was heaven on earth, the bread was fresh the cheese was lovely and the meat was tasty, the pickled cucumbers were simply heaven on a plate. For mains we had the pork meatballs with polenta... More

lets start with the good points, food is delicious and fairly reasonably prices. negatives service terrible, Wednesday night this place is always fair busy however having to ask 3 times for glasses for the bottle of wine that had been plonked on your table is a bit much. god forbid you want some more water, there must be a mass... Cute little bar/restaurant on Flinders Lane. Place was busy but we got seated quickly. Food was nice, you "create your own meal" from the meal, veg and side options on the menu. Was a nice little novelty. Drinks were cool, lots of different options from other places. Ambiance was nice. Affordable prices, would definitely go again next time we're in... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
