This is a very simple but fantastic menu. A perfect location for business and romantic meals. Ambience is perfect and not noisy at all with sufficient privacy. Menu is simple but food is really good. Nice location.

This place is tucked away in one of the many side streets and alleys in the CBD. It was by luck that we noticed the place. We arrived on spec not having any reservation. In addition we mentioned that we needed to be serviced relatively quickly as we had theatre tickets. This did not phase the staff and soon we... More

Four of us and our toddler grand daughter dined here on a Tuesday night before a show at The Princess Theatre a mere 5 minutes away. We were greeted warmly and seated at a round table with comfortable chairs. Delicious warm crusty bread with condiments was promptly served whilst we pondered our dinner choices. My vongole pasta was cooked to... More

We chose Becco for our night out as it was an exciting menu and a place that we had not been to before. The food was fantastic, I had quail then the duck. My wife had the pork belly then the veal. Very nice, and decent portion sizes (for us anyway). I have to mention that there is a reasonable... More

Celebrated our son's 21st birthday here with family dinner. He loves Italian food and wasn't disappointed. Quite traditional food, very well done.

This is my second visit to Becco and I just love this restaurant. The food is superb and the service fantastic. I feel like I am eating in Italy. An added bonus is you can actually have a conversation in this restaurant.

Business lunch, went well. Food is very good but traditional. I enjoyed the veal. Wine by the glass was good. Staff are very well trained. Overall a good experience

We came to Becco on a blustery Saturday night after a comedy festival show. The restaurant's location in a quintessential Melbourne city lane, marked a hidden culinary gem. Loved the traditional , classy Italian decor, service and menu. We were greeted with a crusty rustic bread that we eagerly dipped into rich olive oil. Despite being incredibly busy, we were... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude a sense of Imperial China stemming from immigration over a century ago. In restaurant after restaurant on Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your money. Stately matrons oversee family kitchens serving up age-old recipes. The lighting may be unromantic, the patrons loud, and the service no-nonsense, but the food is sensational.
