Have been living abroad for more than a decade and had the opportunity to eat here on two occasions last week. It never fails to please. Simple menu freshly prepared, good range of wines and great coffee. What more can one ask for... more seats downstairs perhaps!

You seldom in Melbourne come across an establishment where the staff is rude, dismissive and treats customers with contempt. From cold coffee, flat proscecco, stinking mussels on the pasta It would be hard to find a more unpleasant experience. It's a pity as many things are nice about the place. The staff and service is not one of them. The... More

This is one of our favourite places to eat in Melbourne. The waiters are excellent, the space is atmospheric and its an authentic italian experience. They have the best calamari around - pasta is always perfect and specials keep the menu fresh. Lots to love here.

We had a night out recently and it was the first time I had dined here, having wanted to for years. The three of us shared the bruschetta of the day, which was lovely. We all had pasta for mains. My two friends dishes were lovely (gnocci and the ravioli special). I had the linguine di mare. I must say... More

strong eye appeal, good looking restaurant that we were looking forward to yet we were very disappointed from the moment we walked in. The greeting was abrupt, though we were happy to get a table for 2 on a holiday night, and from the moment we sat down the service was rushed, insincere, pushy and we felt they purposely up-sold... Absolutely love this truly Italian restaurant. I always try and dine here when visiting Melbourne as I just love the food and the service. Try the seafood pasta - divine. The Italian speaking wait staff are charming and know their Italian food and wine.

Mostly these days when you leave a restauarant you feel pretty satisfied and have eaten everything. Here, it's like going to an Italian family home: if you ate everything you wouldn't be able to move! Had the "dining exoerience"" of 3 courses with matching wines which started with a substantial dish of tasty and melt in your mouth crumbed calamari... More

The wonderful staff at the Olsen Hotel sent us along here, and we are eternally grateful as it was superb. Quite hard to find (well if you are tired and don't have the address) but as soon as we arrive, just looking at the plates made us feel welcome. Staff were so lovely, warm and helpful. The food was sublime.... More

A very friendly Italian place. I arrived without a reservation but was felt very welcome with great attention. Food is authentic, pasta al dente. After dinner cocktail is awesome. Recommended if you are South Of Yarra in Melbourne.

Simply couldn't wait to get stuck into the menu. It's not often you get to try Swordfish Carpaccio, Restaurant was packed and the service was faultless. This restaurant made our stay in Melbourne most memorable, well done!

Staying in Chapel Street

Neighbourhood Profile
Chapel Street
Seek and ye shall find! Prahran is a treasure hunter’s paradise of vintage stores, upscale boutiques and emporiums. Chapel Street is a one-stop shop with specialty stores selling just about everything. The famous Chapel Street Bazaar has so many curious and vintage knick-knacks that you will feel as if you're in a huge and busy museum. By contrast, at the northern end of Chapel Street, South Yarra and Windsor cater to high-end designer labels and exclusive boutiques. The community flocks to Prahran’s organic markets as a Saturday ritual, while art and film students leaf through vinyl LPs on Greville Street. The gay community also has a strong presence here. Prahran’s heritage buildings like the Reads Emporium and Prahan arcade offer a grand sense of scale and history. No matter your interest, come feel the pulse of one of Melbourne’s most loved precincts.
