The meal was very nice, if a little over priced. Spoilt by the dessert which was a gritty and runny mousse.

This is a seven day a week business, but you have got to get there early in the night for dinner. Lunch is easier and excellent in this area.

Lygon St was chockers and there were crowds at many of the trendier restaurants. We opted for this one because it looked relatively peaceful, and we were very glad we did. Delicious pizza, very good salad and they didn't mind at all that two of us were sharing. Cold crisp white wine, very good coffee, a perfect after-movie experience.

We ate here tonight and we were all pleased with our meals. However the meals are very overpriced. The antipasto is a very small plate with very little on it for $17!

We were initially served quickly, however staff were observed to be unimpressed that we only wanted to order a light meal. We ordered tapas which was billed as deep fried calamari and salad on a large plate enough for two to share, however, we received calamari for one with rocket only and tar-tare sauce on the side. It calamari was... More

I loved the style of this restaurant, the food was excellent and the staff really helpful. We were on holiday from England and enjoyed the food and atmosphere so much was came back during our 5 day stay in Melbourne.

After strolling up and down Lygon street several times we decided on Copperwood as it looked lively and bustling with diners. Two in our group ordered a meat-lovers pizza to share, and it was really nice - lovely crust, good proscuitto, all nice, but not really enough for two. I wasn't hugely hungry so just ordered tapas-sized mushroom arancini. The... More

We had high hopes when looking at the interior design . The food was very average and overall disappointing for what you pay .

Basic simple menu done well enough not to be disappointed. Pizza was ok, not remarkable not horrible. Minestrone was good but small serves. Scallops - tiny serve for $17. Mini burgers were pretty good but just not up to scratch. Been to pubs with better food! Highlight was sitting on the street on a nice day.

Staying in Lygon Street

Neighbourhood Profile
Lygon Street
If you want real parmesan, cut from the block, grated over your pasta with a twist of style, this is the place. Until recently, this neighbourhood was home to the notorious ‘Carlton Crew,’ a pseudo mafia who started their day with a local espresso. They are gone, but the espresso still runs strong in this Little Italy which has something for everyone. Starched white tablecloths, candles, pizza the way they do it "back home" and maybe even a bit of amore. The number of gelato choices will leave you in a state of indecision and wide footpaths, big awnings and a sea of packed tables makes this al fresco dining experience a continental buzz. Even if you’re not eating, it’s worth the stroll just for the people-watching, which, of course, is an Italian tradition.
