This review is for a place called Bar Tini Bodega; seems to be an extension of Movida Bar and is fairly new (2 doors away, up the lane). We were directed there by the doorman when Movida was full. Went here for a drink on...More

The food was good, the wine was great but the price was too expensive. We had some wine (couple of glasses per person), 3 tapas bites (2 per tapas, you pay per piece) and 1 main course and had to pay 180 AUD. The main...More

As others have stated, the portions of the tapas and main courses are small but the flavours were delightful. The waitress was friendly, efficient and helpful. The meal was washed down with a full bodied Tempranillo .

Situated down a colourful graffiti painted lane adds to the coolness of this unpretentious restaurant, the service impeccable, the help from the waiting staff superb, the taste of the tapas and the larger raciones was perfection as we all raved on about, leaving nothing on...More

Nice variety of food and very good wine. Staff already warns you saying “nothing to do with Spanish tapas”.. that’s ok but a bit too far from Spain

We recently ate at Movida based on a recommendation from friends who live in Sydney. We loved the food, the ambiance, the service. Our meal lasted almost 2 1/2 hours and we enjoyed every minute of it. The variety of foods to try makes for...More

The food was awesome. We shared a number of dishes including paella, stuffed zucchini flower, chicken pafait, etc. Finished with churros with an incredible chocolate sauce. The service was great and the place was pumping.

To say I go here every chance I get would be a fair comment- and my experiences have always been great food, great service. But this late evening pop in was truly disappointing. Our server never cracked a smile- it was almost like diners was...More

Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways
tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary
feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the
city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques,
throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You
never quite know what you’ll find around the next
corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and
even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air

Hi, as the other travellers have said the menu changes regularly. Best to go online close to the time you book a table and check. Better still, call and talk to the helpful and friendly staff.

Description
When we opened the doors to MoVida in Hosier lane, Melbourne in 2003 no one knew what to expect. Here was this little bar on a graffiti covered cobbled lane near the cathedral serving Spanish tapas and shared plates in a down lit room playing funky tunes. It's the kind of place you can come in for a beer and a jamon croquetta at the bar and then move across to a table and share a plate of slow braised lamb, some patatas a lo pobre and down some seriously good Spanish red wine.
