We had dinner here, celebrating our wedding anniversary and we chose to have the chef’s 5 course meal option. We’re very glad we did as we enjoyed everything that we ate. They also kindly included a creme brûlée on a decorated plate to celebrate our...More

If we had not read the reviews and booked the restaurant online, we would definitely have walked straight passed it, as it is not obvious from the road. The inside is lovely with lots of wine bottles adorning the walls. I was surprised that the...More

Punch Lane is a great Winebar / Restaurant. The Wine list is extensive and the menu very good. The waitresses are very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. I recommend to make a reservation as this restaurant is very popular.

Do yourself a favour and have the 5 course dinner with selected wines. Our waiter explained the connection between wine and food beautifully, and simply, it’s a great place to have a night out with someone special.

I don't know. I guess you just ring them. If it's anything like our experience it will be very quick because you won't get any food.

A Melbourne institution now in its 22nd year Punch Lane is situated at the Paris end of the CBD near Parliament . We are also in the theatre precinct and perfect for a pre/post show bite to eat . glass of wine or a plate of cheese . Our food style is Modern European with Australian overtones , there is an extensive range of wines by the glass as well as an array of beers and spirits . We are house in one of the original CBD police stations as we where situated in the heart of the red light district of the time . We also boast the original chairs from the Southern Cross Hotel which was the home of the Beatles during their Australian Tour . We look forward to seeing you for a relaxed lunch, a glass of wine or an intimate dinner.
