Recommended to us due to it's celebrity chef. There were two restaurants in one - a more formal place and the one we ate in. Food was alright but nothing special. Mediocre wine was overpriced. Service was barely adequate. Best to have a reservation if...More

I had booked this ‘establishment’ on the premise that it would be a great place for a quiet meal for my wife and I for her birthday, with the added attraction that it would be a good introduction to French food. Except for an apologetic...More

Delicious food in a charming setting. Bistro Vue has for 11 years been a destination for professionals, travellers and locals alike, a veritable touch of France at the top of Bank Place in the mid-city, and not the Paris end of Collins Street. Yet it...More

This highly regarded restaurant is located in the professional services area of Melbourne, tucked in below corporate offices. It is a surprise then to find a rustic style French restaurant reproduced. It does not feel manufactured however . The service is casual but attentive and...More

Save yourself the airfare and pretend you are in Paris in this delightful bistro, the younger (and much less expensive) sister to Vue de Monde. We started at the bar where we had delicious fresh oysters then moved to the adjoining and very French restaurant....More

Let's get the few negatives out of the way, the drink selection at the bar isn't wonderful, but it is a restaurant bar, not a bar. My duck was good, but not great. There was a trainee bartender. Yes.... that's all the negatives. Let's go...More

I'd be surprised if you were disappointed with this venue but a phone call to the restaurant might be the best approach. I'm not aware of any wow seating options if that is a specific preference.
