been here multiple times. Nice location between myers and H&M. great place to go after shopping. Nice food and good service. Stays quite warm in winters (even though feels like it's in open)

We often eat here when we're shopping in the mall as its convenient and the food is pretty good. The pizzas are nice and light and the home made pasta is delicious. I've noticed recently that they have shrunk the menu choice quite a lot but it hasn't affected the quality of what remains. The service is prompt and polite,... More

Using a new app for food delivery we searched for a ½ decent restaurant that would deliver. Used Deliveroo to order which was very easy. The pizza base was obviously hand made and the toppings were perfecto. It's a pity we live interstate. Instead I would highly recommend it. Ciao.

Lunch with my husband, granddaughter and her friend was absolutely delicious as we had previously experienced at Can de Vin. I had one of the daily specials - Mushroom Risotto with grated Parmesan - delicious. My husband had Braised Octopus served with sultanas in syrup, equally delicious and Gluten free option and the girls shared a serve of Saganaki with... More

Was walking up Bourke street Mall and saw this place which looked inviting. Ordered the Calamari which was a little greasy for my liking. The staff were great and the service quick.

The restaurant itself it's nothing special, the menu has got no history or tradition: do not make sense. The food is very badly cooked, prices are too high for that quality and the staff has got a very poor attitude, not professional at all. Not to try!

Yes its a bit away from the theatre district but it was close to the shopping in Bourke Street. It was a really hot evening and the lane was also hot despite the shade blinds and the water misting fans. An ice cold beer and Aperol Spritz helped to cool us down while we ordered a couple of Pizza's (Napoli,... More

I frequently grab a coffee here when I'm in town so headed there for a quick coffee after shopping with visitors. The service was slow, the waiter wasn't listening and mucked up our order twice, and quite frankly still didn't get it. It was embarrassing a tea a coffee and and iced coffee shouldn't be a difficult order. Doubt I'll... More

This is a large restaurant in the alley behind the Old PO. It was cool inside while hot and muggy outside. Waitress a delight. Offered me a sapmle of a wine as I wasn't sure which one I'd prefer. Well worth a visit.

The service is good and the food is amazing. It's situated in Postal Lane and is set out completely in the laneway.

Thank Christine M

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
