We were warned of the 65 minute wait for takeaway. It was ready right on time. But the food tasted like it was cooked in very old oil. It had a distinct flavour that wasn’t very nice. Sizzling Mongolian lamb was nice. But anything deep fried was not! I would not return, surprising that this place had such good reviews. We did visit on Broome cup weekend so perhaps they had been flat out. I’m not sure

Simple Chines restaurant.
Nice food, friendly young staff and very efficient service.
A far better experience than we had several days ago at another Broome Chinese restaurant.
Definitely recommended.

The food was less than average
We had been there last year and it wasn’t so good
Gave it another try and it was worse
Such a shame

Very poor. Ordered a takeaway at 5.00pm for a 6.00pm pickup. They open at 5.00pm so should not have been any issues. Get there at 6.00pm and told they were behind and it would be 10 mins 15 minutes later still no meal and the girl was very rude. Would not recommend the service so let’s hold the food is ok.
No apologies just say they were very busy yet my order would have been the first in for the night.
Food not that great. Small servings to what we are use to and the Mongolian Lamb was pre-cooked and tuff.
Would not recommend to anyone due to poor service, no apology and pre-cooked lamb. Also over priced to what we are use to. $27.00 for a very small serving of Mongolian Lamb.
Looking for another restaurant tomorrow night.

Wanting some chinese food and being told by locals that Tongs was good we headed there for dinner. The wait person told us it would be a 30 minute wait and this turned into a 2 hour wait. This was clearly a bad experience. It looks like their priority is their takeaway business and the sit down restaurant side is neglected badly.
The food itself for actually quite good but 2 hours of waiting when there are 5 ravenous young kids as well is not acceptable

We all ordered different dishes and we all thought they were delicious. Some ordered duck, some mango prawns, Mongolian lamb.
We had spring rolls and sweetcorn and chicken soup. Both were lovely and hot. Then we had beef satay and fried rice. Again very yummy. We were able to share a banana fritter and it was lovely too.
Service was excellent and didn’t have to wait long.
BYO was a bonus

As a frequent visitor to Broome over twenty years,have always had good food at Tongs. However a recent experience was not a good one. We waited one hour twenty five minutes from when we ordered to when the food came to the table. The wait was not worth it as the food was tasteless.Don't know whether they have a new cook,but we were terribly disappointed and will never go there again.

We had our order taken as soon as sat down n due to the busy timing our meal took about a hour but the quality of the meal n the helpful staff made the experience worthy of five stars we have eaten all over Aussie in different Chinese restaurants n this place is up with them for quality the day ore was old style but it’s the meal that counts

We visit here often the staff are always friendly and attentive and they always remember our likes and dislikes. Food really tasty and generous.

Rang and ordered pick up take away of vegetarian spring trolls, Pad Thai and Satay combination with fried rice. Ready on time- 40 minutes and was one of the best take away meals we have had for ages. Would recommend to allow a bit of time like I did.
