Went here whilst staying at the hotel and for the price of the food I would expect better service. You have to order at the bar and the lady taking my order seemed disinterested. When paying 40 dollars for a steak - I would expect frindliness and even table service at that price. You could not even get them to... More

Was very busy when we arrived but nothing to indicate you had to order at counter so we stood for ages waiting to be shown to a table and were then told we needed to choose our food first. A sign would be helpful. Having said that the food arrived in reasonable time and was excellent. Would definitely go there... More

My wife & I went to the 1861 restaurant situated within the Oaks Resort Broome last night. It is some 3 years since we last attended. Back then it was a little barn like and now it is totally sterile. No atmosphere whatsoever. This is a major disappointment given that they base the name on the discovery of the Maxima... More

We stayed at the 'Oaks resort' and the food was very, very good. It is a little lay back, so don't be in a hurry. Drinks menu was very good, we both enjoyed it

we had dinner here twice, food was tasty with reasonable selection/ Second night there was only 1 staff member serving and she was run rugged. The kitchen staff wandered out to get themselves a drink at various times but didn't seem at all inclined to help the girl taking phone orders (no room service but you can call to order... More

We stayed at Oats Resort and enjoyed our stay. We ordered meals for 7 people, 2 being the beautifully described slow cooked pork. Unfortunately it was below expectation, to the point, we didnt eat it. It wobbled like a blob of overcooked fat on instant potato. This was very disappointing. The steak was average as was the pizza. We live... More

My partner and I didn't actually end up eating here. We examined their menu and noted the over-the-top prices, when we were just looking for a reasonably-priced meal. On top of that, there was nothing on the menu that particularly appealed to us that night. What was worse, was they had put on a huge buffet for a busload of... More
