Meet some friends here for dim sum and the food was good and fresh. Well priced and range of options from vegetables, pork, seafood chicken and beef. Came to $55 for four people. Would recommend if you're in the area.

There is on occasion a queue out the front but as service is quick & efficient, you won't wait for long. The dim sum choices from the trolley are excellent & fresh, just wish were able to eat more 😥 The steamed prawn dumplings & deep fried prawn dumplings with mayo were delicious. The deep fried squid tentacles were ok,... More

Great food, loved the rice flour rolled prawn and the squid. The food trolley is always on the move with fresh yummy things to tempt you. The service was good and the food great. Can also get busy so you know the locals are regulars. A good idea when looking for a restaurant is to go to the ones that... More

The New Moon restaurant was really good if you compare price and quality. The food arrives at the table all the time and it is just to go after your favourites. The restaurant is really busy and they have an incredible turnover at every table. It is good to book a table or arrive early if you want to join... More

The restaurant is on James Street and William Street corner and very easy to find. It offers dim sum and other standard dishes such as fried rice and noodles. For dim sum, we tried steamed garlic beef tripes, spicy beef stomach, steamed shrimp dumplings, deep fried spring rolls , and egg tarts, which are all very good. There are many... More

Specialises in Dim Sum, Excels at steam buns and dumplings with the prawn dumplings being outstanding. Sadly the deep fried squid tentacles recommended by other reviewers were overcooked and tough which was disappointing. Also a disappointment were the egg tarts, not flakey and a little under cooked.

Two of us popped in early one evening before the queue had developed. Service was very prompt and the food choices kept coming out. We managed to order a lot for two people but it was all so tasty we mowed through it. Finishing with two Portuguese custard tarts was a great end to the meal. Highly recommended.

We visited New Moon early just after opening so not too busy. We gather it is often difficult to get in at lunchtime. The steamed selection was pretty standard but very high quality. The radish cakes divine, pork buns perfect. Definitely a place to visit again.

We ended up here on the off chance we would get it and and it was the best. Best Dim Sum , hot, fresh and tasty. Huge variety and it just kept coming. We were in a group of five and all tastes were met . Special mention to the soft shell crab, prawn and coriander and the chicken and... More
