Such high quality and good value. Like stepping into small restaurant in Japan Hard to find, side alley and down stairs. But worth the search. BYO with bottle shop 30m away. Even better.

The environment is probably a 2 out of 5 i.e. down a flight of stairs in an alley past the stench of urine and the inside was not all that inviting. However the food was great and I tried things that I had not had before. It would have been helpful if the staff had better command of English and... More

Amazing food and friendly service in this hidden gem. Real authentic Japanese cuisine. Hidden down an alleyway and then down a flight of stairs this little unassuming restaurant has the most amazing array of Japanese dishes. Service is fast and the food is beautifully presented and very tasty. I recommend the Jun set dinner, an absolute feast!!! You won't be... More

Favourite Japanese restaurant in Perth- visiting Japanese clients and colleagues love it and I think that itself says a lot about the authenticity of the food. It's located in an underground cozy little space which I feel adds to the atmosphere.. don't expect fancy settings here. Must try: steamed clams in sake..teriyaki chicken thigh with spring onion skewers and shio... More

This has been one of my favourite Japanese haunts ever since I discovered it for over twenty years. It has been owned by the same Japanese family since then, and you will feel like stepping into a piece of Japan when you walked down the stairwell off a hidden alleyway with the double red doors. They serve limited set course... More

I have been going to Jun every other month for the past five years - I just can't get enough of this place! My favourites are the beef tataki, the nasu dengaku (fried eggplant) and unigiri umi (plum rice ball). And I would also recommend the seaweed salad and the takoyaki (octopus balls). You can bring a bottle of wine... More

Total hidden gem! Not to pricey either. BYO which is the way I like it. Can either sit on a normal table or go up in a booth and sit crossed legged (or sneakily put your legs down and pretend). Great find

This place reminds me a lot of the restaurants in tokyo, quite easy going with the decor and a calm amosphere. The food was great and together with very nice personel I would recommend this to everyone. The food selection was broad and the dishes was very good, I would recommend to order things that are local or not to... More

Been here a few times now for authentic Japanese food; reminds me of Tokyo every time I go. Very friendly service, food is good, ambiance is very Japanese-Bohemian. Always encouraging if you are the only westeners there. Not licensed, so get your beers from the IGA a few doors down the road. They do a good quick lunch special menu... More

Have a crack at this place. It's lots of fun! Quite snug inside but the food and service make up for it. Katsu chicken and teriyaki beef was delicious!
