Emailed an order about some dessert to take away. After a bit of a misunderstanding about the price we finally managed to clear thing up. It was easy enough to pick up. I liked their leche flan and buko pandan.

Food is so-so. If you're into the "carenderia" (ask a Filipino what that is) vibe. I mean its not bad, its just not good. The servers are nice to your face but they can be pretty unprofessional as soon as their back is turned. They...More

Not only is it out of everyone's way, the service is hideous, the overall look and feel is cheap and it just looked like a battlefield where a major war had just concluded. The only plant in the place welcomes you with sadness: droopy, drying...More

I have eaten here at least 20 times and have never had bad food or service. Standouts include the Joyful Chicken and the Sisig; if you're eating at the restaurant, order it sizzling. The clear bean thread noodle dishes are also excellent, and most food...More

Description
Turo-Turo is a Filipino cafe/restaurant offering authentic dishes from the Philippines.Pricing is modest (most dishes $10-$15) with a wide variety of mains and some outstanding Filipino desserts. Let's Eat! The generous culture of the Filipino If you encounter a Filipino eating, that's the invitation you'll get: "Let's eat!" In the Filipino language, it's "kain tayo" (ka-in ta-yo,) and it's an invitation for you to share the food in front of them, even if it's only good for one. Visit a Filipino in their home and you'll immediately be asked, "have you eaten?" The polite answer is 'yes,' because they will otherwise prepare a meal for you. And insist that you eat it. At the heart of these greetings is a deep culture of community, of looking after each other. It's the reason Filipinos have a reputation for being so friendly and hospitible, and so generous. They have a genuine concern for the welfare of others and an unquestioning willingness to share. That's why Turo-Turo Philippine Cafe uses the phrase "let's eat!" In a lot of its advertising! An invitation for you to come and share in that Filipino warmth, hospitality, and food!
