Their service here is amazing! One of the best I've received in an auckland restaurant! Shout out to Talia who is the owner's daughter who literally took on every duty from front of the house, to taking our order, to serving, and then cleaning up....More

I really like the food at Ima Cuisine, but I can't justify spending the $ they charge. I love the Shakshuka dish - but how can they charge $23 for some tomatoes, onions, a couple of eggs, some bread and what is at most five...More

Very nice place for brunch. The tables are recycled, along with the selection of dining chairs. The light fitting creat a lot of discussion so all that before you eat. Nice coffee and tea service. Breakfast was all you need and was well presented.

I love Middle Eastern food, love it. So I was hankering to go here, even more so after they appeared in the Metro top 50. A bustling place, I wouldn't really recommend it for a romantic dinner (unless you're out the back perhaps) as it...More

We got what we came for : healthy ME food served in a casual, homely atmosphere. Friendly waitresses. Don't dine at Ima's if you want cold starchy service. We felt comfortable and at home right from the start.

First visit to this homely cafe with a group of friends. Seemed an intriguing environment after the nearby stylish Britomart. The staff were obliging and willing to explain the intricacies of the menu, and there was no long wait for the food. Everyone at our...More

The venue is centrally located, it has a rustic atmosphere and it gets quite lively. The staff are very pleasant and chatty. The food is quite good but the portions truly very small for what they charge. I personally thought it was a joke. One...More

5/5 for Ima. Delicious food, clean, well balanced dishes with authentic flavours. Bit too much tahini for my liking but that's the traditional way of serving so wouldn't mark down for it. The staff were so wonderful, they make you feel like you're part of...More

Told them I was in s rush and it took 25 minutes for porridge. Only one other couple in the place. Food ok but not worth the wait.

All dinners come with a platter of salads, rice, etc. You only need to pick your main dish. It was a quiet Sunday night so I don't know how busy it gets during the week. But service was good and the food delicious.

Middle Eastern inspired breakfast, lunch and a family-style sharing dinner. Cooking has always been the focus of my life, I've been a cook since my early teens. However when I left Israel to study in the UK, it really dawned on me just how important good food is - how great food can lift your spirit and make you happy, and bad food can bring you down. I came to NZ from Israel in late 1997 with two little girls and pregnant with the third. The food I love was very hard to find and I missed it terribly, and so I opened the Lunch Box. Ima is my second venture in Auckland. Ima (pronounced EE-Mah) means mother in Hebrew. My food is simple, honest, healthy and nurturing, like mum's food (providing she is a great cook). At Ima the atmosphere is warm and casual. At Ima the atmosphere is warm and casual, we hope our guests feel immediately comfortable and at home. We invite you to enjoy our food - made with love and the finest ingredients - we know it will make you happy! - Yael Shochat, Owner
