Sometimes the good places are hard to find. But well worth the effort. This is the case with Blake Street Cafe. We had trudged around in the rain and this cafe was a sight for sore eyes. A late lunch was needed and served with pleasure at this cafe. I had a wonderful cauliflower soup. The coffee was excellent. Very... More

We travel to Auckland regularly from Sydney to visit family and ensure we eat at Blake Street Cafeevery time. We are locals in Sydney's cafe and restaurant capital, Newtown, and the menu and service here rival anything you can get there. Shelley and Andre are great hosts, they are friendly, professional and knowledgeable not just of their own menu, but... More

Well worth a visit - went here as was in our entertainment book and was well worth looking for. Had a lovely lunch here. Lovely space tucked in a side street - so not noisy. Free wifi

Great food, coffee and excellent friendly service makes this a top spot for Breakfast, Lunch or just a coffee. My only criticism is they aren't every day so Mondays and Tuesdays I have to find other places to go.

This is the second time we have been there and both times have been very impressed ... A small menu that is done well ... Coffee great, and service is very friendly and attentive. We will definitely go back. The euro plate was wonderful, and the. Chicken burger worth trying as well. Generous potion sizes ...

I had an excellent lunch here . The prawn and corn fritters were delicious and it was nice to find a place near Ponsonby that wasn't crowded out at lunch time ,

We sleepily wandered over to the first café in sight, and stumbled upon the best meal we've had in New Zealand. I had the soup of the day (creamy cauliflower and cheese) with a ham and cheese toasted sandwich instead of ciabatta bread, as suggested by a staff member. It was amazing! My partner had bangers and mash with pickled... More

Another winters day in Auckland , what better than a nice warming Green Chicken Curry and a glass of wine. Super curry , bowl of rice and fresh naan bread - great value at $20 Great coffee to finish as usual

This cafe reliably produces great coffee and great food, has a really good menu which changes over time, a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and great ambience. It's never disappointed in all the times we have visited, and has become our regular for brunch. Highly recommended. Only drawback - it's closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

Snazzy little cafe with a neighborhood location a short distance from the hubbub of Ponsonby strip. Cosy welcoming, experienced host and chef couple. Great selection of food presented well. Good coffee.

Thank Merv J
