I have been here a few times as it is nearby and the only cafe down Casabella lane. We always hope for better but it's always average food without passion. To be honest, I'm not even sure why it is called a French cafe cause there is barely anything French on the menu. I just find the food is usually... More

A booking had been made for 6 and there was nobody else in the restaurant. Each couple ordered separately. I asked for our drinks to come with our meals. We waited an awful long time, finally 4 meals were brought out including my wife's also both of our drinks arrived. After a short time we queried the waitress where the... More

This cafe serves good coffee and a good variety of french style blackboard and cabinet food. The decor is very plain but you can sit inside or out in the courtyard.

Lunch time - ordered a toasted ham & cheese sandwich - bread was barely warm, let alone toasted - ham was some sort of diced meat(?), and the "cheese" a partially-liquid spread of some kind - any resemblance to French-style Cafe offerings has long passed, although the seafood chowder was ok - will look for somewhere else next time in... Just popped in for coffee - which was good. The location is beautiful - tucked away down Casabella Lane. The service was a touch blunt, impersonal and matter of fact for my liking. Would not rush back.

I had a cup of tea with a friend , first visit here. NIce setting down a little lane off Barton Street in the CBD. Choose indoor or outdoor. I was outdoor at 3.30pm and it was not cold.

This cafe is situated at the end of a delightful little arcade with seating both indoors and in a courtyard. It is a relaxing venue away from the bustling local shopping mall and CBD streets. It offers a good range of food displayed in a cabinet in addition to a menu selection. The cafe is airy, well ventilated and clean.... More

Casabella Lane offers a wide variety of shops including Saint Lazarre Café. Not an authentic French café but pleasant staff and nice food options. Great to have outdoor seating to enjoy in the summer weather.
