You can see this is a family run restaurant, and the people are very nice, however....service is something that needs to be worked on. Wait staff need to focus, not start taking an order then step away to seat new guests. Food should come out at the same time, so you can eat together, we experienced quite a delay with... More

A colleague and I were in Hamilton for work and had dinner at Baan Thai. We only had a main each but mine was really delicious - the tofu and cashew nut stirfry. It was fresh and tasty with a generous helping of both tofu and cashew nuts. It was one of the nicest Thai meals I've had in a... More

We made a repeat visit after a disappointment over service and food quality last time. We were seated and after 25 minutes of nothing we left. No water drinks on fact no anything. There were other frustrated customers too. It was a repeat of last time and is now a reason we won't go back.

Ok this is unfortunately harsh and i couldnt figure out anything to give it the 2 stars The food: we ordered vegetarian, and it was large chungs of veggies (not enough) and the rice and the flat rice noodles were sweet. it even lacked salt. there wasnt even taste of soy sauce or something that could be added. What we... More

Travelling for work so decided to do a takeaway. Friendly greeting and nice menu for take away - everything that you would expect. Thai food is my favourite so I was just a little disappointed. Not sure what the veges were but seemed like lots of stalks and the ratio of meat was very lacking.

I have been bitten by the Thai bug, so I have decided to try every Thai restaurant I can! This was a very spontaneous decision for my wife and I as we were seeking some dinner in town on a very cold evening. We stumbled across Baan Thai and it looked very inviting. The décor was very authentic yet Europeanised... More

Popped in for a meal after the movies. As usual, same great Thai flavours, good portions and value for money. No desserts to finish with (except ice cream) which was probably a blessing for the diet!

We visited Baan Thai with a group of fifteen last night. It was pre-booked a couple of days out. They only had two wait staff on, which clearly wasn't enough. Both seemed flustered and agitated, and were not friendly at all. One was rushing around with a bit of paper, trying to work out what we'd all ordered and where... More

Have had plenty dinners here, it's one of my "go-to" restaurants when away in Hamilton on business. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the food has never disappointed. They offer the full traditional range of Thai fare, and do it very well. Often see the full range of people in here- couples, families, business loners like me, so... More
