We bought a big family pack which was great and fresh and fed our family of 5 with some leftover. Great fast service. Loved the fact that you can walk into the shop and not be hit by old oil smells.

This cafe has a casual dining atmosphere. We had blue cod which was perfectly cooked and the batter was light. Good service and great suggestions by the waitress. The salad was fresh but was only lettuce and tomato with a dressing.
WOW! These fish n chips are beyond amazing and no wonder they are so popular. A local told me about this place and they did not disappoint. The fish was beautifully cooked and spring roll was the best I have ever had - lots of...More
There is no doubt that the best fish n chips I have eaten! Every item is perfect and the fish does not have any fishy. I really really like the mini chowder.

I have dined at this Cafe several times over the years. Ownership changes from time to time but quality of the food is always excellent. On my recent visit the scallops and blue cod were both delectable.
We have been loyal customers of the Westshore Fish Cafe since several years now. When it changed hands (a couple of years ago) we did wonder whether this place would survive as the new owners had big shoes to fill. They didn't get everything right...More
I was staying at a nearby motel and my mobility was restricted so was pleasantly surprised to be pointed to this little gem. Selling all the usual stuff you'd expect at a classic kiwi chippy, with six varieties of fish to choose from, food was...More
They do the best fish and chips in town. Plus I had mine grilled instead of battered - yum yum yum - it came in foil with beautiful seasoning. They have a café area as well which we will try next time.
