Small group (four) went looking for a place to eat late at night (8.30 pm). After driving around [town] for a while, we came across Kungfu Kitchen. The buffet option appealed. There were people sitting at the tables enjoying their dinners which was a good sign. The selection in the buffet was admirable but to be honest, it had been... More

I was so looking forward to the yum cha experience as I hadn't had yum cha in years and was thrilled at the prospect. However, sadly it was not to be. Even though the place was almost empty, we were told to sit closer to the buffet area. I requested a circular table as it is part of the sharing... More

This unfortunately (and I don't like giving bad feedback) was the worst Chinese food I've ever had in my life. We had to use the facilities to start with which gives you the appropriate impression of a restaurant and it continued to go downhill from there. The smell stuck in my nose and continued to permeate through the rice, dumplings... More

Well we all know that this building is somehow doomed. Bad feng shui, poor acoustics, knackered ventilation, the lot. The place shares a carpark with a Telecom shop and a branch of the vile Burgerfuel dealership so it has to be said that anyone who runs a business here does so with the omens being inauspicious at the very best.... By chance we spotted this restaurant open for Yumcha from 11.30am to 2pm on weekends - we called in on the off chance at 1.30pm and greeted by a very smiley young girl. The restaurant was full of local Chinese patrons and a table behind us of visitors here in HB for two years. We overheard them discussing the food... More

So I got the impression this place just reopened maybe? Oddly they have a sign saying cash only and children $10 per yr of age which means my 12, 6 & 7 year olds were going to need to eat $250 worth of buffet. Luckily adults are $20 and the sign should say children $10. The food is cold unless... More

Strange buffet style yum cha with dried up food and what looks like prepackaged items rather than fresh. The guy behind the counter was dismissive and rude. Will try to avoid this place in the future.

It's a really friendly and convenient spot for a cuppa Chinese tea. Really lovely pot o tea, choose your type and enjoy a leisurely time grazing on a few dimsums Sat/Sun/Mon. late morn & early afternoon. Food quality varies and is average at best. Clean tidy space, easy parking and recommended as a meeting spot for friends over that 'cuppa'.
