Last time here was disappointing and wasn't going to back. On a stopover we decided to try again. Place was packed so we opted to have meal at the bar to avoid 30 minute wait. WELL!! our service was impeccable and the steak i ordered was perfectly cooked and well presented. The manager came over to make sure all was... More

Very busy restaurant went here New Years Eve. Excellent service, great atmosphere, good choice menu, food was great, meals were on the large side. The food was very good. Would recommend eating here again.

Full of kids and families dining over Christmas when we went, but all guests got the same high standard of service.

Stumbled across the Lone Star after checking out the centre of town yesterday afternoon looking for a glass of wine. I was by myself whilst hubby went for a swim so the welcoming attitude of the staff was really warming. Service was fast and friendly. Wine recommendations offered and a chat about the delish local avocados from The Bay of... More

Food good, service prompt, filled us up, green salad bit small, slightly expensive for what you get.

First time here for dinner. Everyone was nice enough, just really bad service for a restaurant that didn't seem very full. Took a while for out initial drink order, then for our main. The appies came out without a side plate or anything. The napkins that were used to put finger food remnants on remained on the table for quite... More

Lone star rarely disappoints and once again we had a good meal. As always the restaurant was well presented and the food was enjoyable. Maybe the wait was a little longer than you'd expect, as it wasn't busy but no biggie.

We are from Texas and didn't know what to expect. The nachos were not great. The chili sauce was sweet ( my opinion is chili should never be sweet). The husband had the ribeye and it was cooked appropriately with good sides. I had the special (duck confit) which was very tender and a nice meal.

as soon as you walk through the door you feel a lovely atmosphere and there is always someone there to walk you through to your table. We had a splendid three course meal served to us by a wonderfull young man with ginger hair, as the night went on the waiter seemed to get happier which was lovely to see.... More
