We had a room in the hotel and decided to eat at the restaurant. I had the lamb which was very good but the risotto cake was unexpected. We took a bottle of white wine but didn't get anything to keep it cool on the...table as our table neighbors got something. We first choose a bottle of wine which the waiter suggested and 5 min later, he came back to tell us that this wine was sold out. The pineapple tatin was not a success. The crust was completely wet which was very disappointed. To finish, we didn't even have time for a coffee or a tea because we got the bill before we asked for it. Not a memorable dinnerMore

We ate here out of sheer laziness as we were staying within walking distance. We were told that food was good but with just one chef service could be slow. Well we didn’t suffer with this. Food was delicious.

Firstly this restaurant is now called The Grill and is part of the VR resort 10 km out of Rotorua. We were staying at the resort and I had read the reviews but they were around 2 years ago so there could have been a...change of chefs. Anyway I can say that this was the best food and service I have had for a while! The staff were attentive and friendly and the food was fantastic. I had the lamb and my partner the fish! Both dishes were top class and of good proportion. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.More

The staff member who looked after us was very accommodating and charming, especially given that we arrived at the very end of the breakfast timeslot and stayed past the end of it! We had proper barista-made coffee which was spot on.

Excellent conference and party site. They offer a tremendous amount of flexibility and fit in with whatever your needs may be.

Beautiful Setting..Not Much Else. Got Room Service Breakfast Was Terrible Stone Cold Coffee No Milk Or Sugar And Missing Items We Ordered. Curtains Had Black Mould On The Bottoms. One Staff Member Was Wonderful The Rest Didnt Even Say Hello Or Smile. Way Over Priced...Rooms And Very Small! Will Not Stay AgainMore
