Could hardly compare with the view and food from Stratosfare Queenstown. Also would charge extra $15 for each window seat for lunch, though not mentioned at the website.

We had the buffet lunch which was good. A huge variety and well presented. The reason you go to Stratosfare is the view though and this is second to none. Amazing.

Went for dinner during sunset. Great view over lake rotorua. Food was plentiful and varied. The standard was great for a buffet too. Staff were friendly and helpful and had a great love of the area. Would recommend. You get a lot for your money

We were warmly welcomed although we only had a little time to eat there since we arrived late. The service was really great. The waitress put away the wine glass as they noticed that we were muslims. There's a wide range of food- thai cuisine, soups, cakes, ice-cream, etc. They also served halal meats for muslims. I took some boiled... More

Went with a group of friends - loved the variety of foods available (some of us are vegetarians). We were at the second sitting which enabled us to take our time with our eating. The food was great and the view is to die for!! Had a great waitress - Merle - whose service was of a high standard. Nothing... More

We came for dinner with our family. We sat near the window and enjoyed the view with our delicious drinks and dinner. We had an amazing time. The atmosphere was comfortable, the food was excellent/spectacular! It is a great value for the price. Our attendant-Jefrin was just wonderful. What a great place! Have been to the Stratosfare several times, and have never been disappointed. Excellent variety of food, pleasant and efficient staff (especially our waitress Chanadda), best views of the city, and the gondola ride adds that extra unique touch. Whenever we have visitors, Stratosfare is always top of the list to give them that special diniing experience.

The buffet lunch was value for money. A wide variety of food - seafood, meat, Indian, Chinese, Italian and Kiwi food. Scenery was absolutely to die for. I must say that our server, Milka, is very friendly, attentive and very helpful in giving us tips about visiting the region. She has made our dining experience very pleasant! We would definitely... Very good food and lots of choices. Desert is just average. Receptionist is very accommodating but most of the time they will get your plate straight away without asking. Staff asked me but never asked to my kids to take their empty plates. Otherwise all good, I still recommend this restaurant and I will go back again on my next... More

Description
Where to look first, outwards, upwards or at the live chef displays... Set high on the side of Mount Ngongotaha, Stratosfare is the newest hot spot on Rotorua's burgeoning foodie scene. Luxurious Italian marble, granite, schist stonework and timber set the scene for a memorable experience where David Trubridge light frames your dinner setting for an evening that is sure to delight all your senses. Skilled chefs at their stations craft your cuisine, while cocktail connoisseurs mix and shake at the bar - and the sights don't stop - there's also an incredible 180 degree panorama of Lake Rotorua and the city to soak in amongst the atmosphere. Did we mention the menu? A range of cuisine is presented to tantalize your taste buds, from the tidal mussel tank, ensuring the freshest mussels you can find, to the flame rotisserie, aged prime cuts, Art of the Grill, seasonal salads and the freshly cooked-to-order crepes, we are sure you will leave wanting to come back again and again. Featuring a stunning array of freshly prepared buffet and cooked-to-order dishes highlighting locally sourced seafood, meat and produce, Stratosfare will take you on a gastronomic journey. Our commitment to quality begins long before our produce arrives at our pinnacle site. We work in partnership with local NZ farmers and growers who share our commitment to food excellence, from the pasture to the plate. Our award-winning Wagyu Angus cross fillet steak is just one example. Our prime beef comes from 16,000 hectares of coastal farms near Gisborne. The people of Mangatu Farms have been working their ancestral lands for more than 200 years. They can tell us exactly where the beef has come from, how it was reared and what it was fed. It's the little details like these that set our dining experience apart. We think you will be able to taste the difference too.
Last dinner booking 8.30Pm.
