We turned up before a show last night to find all the tables reserved. A table was found for us. Amazing range of drinks to choose from. The meals were wonderful. Prawns entree, then scallop and bacon salad. My friend had white bait, then a paua fritter. The meals were all exceptional.

Okay, so what they are just chips right? WRONG.. they are by far the best chips ever! Cant comment on any of their other food, but the handcut chips on the takeaway menu will have you going back again, and again, and well if you are us, a third, fourth and well you get the idea. These chips are a... More

As I reached the restaurant at 9pm on a weekday, owner was just about to out up the closed sign, but was gracious enough to let me in for dine in. Ordered the white bait fritters. Service was prompt and food was tasty. Overall a good experience, but I did feel that the prices were dear

We went there last night and ordered the seafood chowder and then ordered mains. It took slightly over one hour from the time of ordering to the time that the food came out. The server was nice but confused one of the orders (we requested one of the meals be the entrée portion instead of the mains). The seafood chowder... More

Unlike previous owners service slow waited an hour to eat, traditional slaw changed, fish portion now small, flamed scallops now in a tiny bowl on plate and sauce tasted like iodine.. Disappointed !

Straight to the point: Our order was: 1 small crumbed speciality fish (salad and couple of fries), 1 medium battered fish of the day with coleslaw, 1 stella artois 1 ginger beer $55. Quality .. well ok.. just ok.. the battered fish was bit oily and after 3 minutes completely soggy. Chips or fries... not really sure how to review... More

Four of us came for dinner Saturday night and had a lovely meal. Seafood chowders, fish and chips, oysters and whitebait fritter. Food was very nice. But to top off our experience the owner dropped off the jersey we had left behind at our motel the next morning. Many thanks.

We were unsure of the local fish so we asked our helpful waitress to give us more information. She did a great job and the food and drinks were promptly brought to our table. The fish was delicious and the coleslaw had a nice twist. They did a kind of wedge which I enjoyed as a refreshing change to standard... More

I've eaten at this place a few times in the last ten years I've been coming to this region on business, the last time I ate here will be my last tho, reason being is a blatant serious lack of value..... The seafood is fresh and nice to eat but these people charge hard for it now..... On my last... More

Afraid to say there is nothing to recommend this joint. Long delays in receiving meals, fish overcooked and not so fresh, "chucked" on the plates with no visual appeal, seafood platter fried not grilled as requested.... THEN when we were asked how we enjoyed it and gave honest answers out came blame, argument, heated defence and hot temper. It took... More
