Gee where do I start. The front desk acts as though you are attending some critical diplomatic event, and need special permission to walk past to the seating. The owner? appears to have an issue showing any form of interpersonal niceties. The duck dish was half full of H2O and then, when I think about it, why be surprised. This... More

Just the best! Great location, friendly staff. Food was amazing, especially the pork belly for the entree. The view out to the harbour is just the best. Definitely recommend this to anyone.

I've been coming to Harbourside for the last 4 years and it's always consistent. Food is amazing every time. Always make sure I get something different and never disappoints. The dessert menu has changed and all the dishes looked beautiful. I had the chocolate fondant and was in chocolate heaven. Wait staff are lovely and attentive and the view if... More

We spent ten days in New Zealand and had great meal after great meal across the northern end of the North Island. But our evening at Harbourside was among our top experiences! EVERY dish, from the raw oysters from Coromandel Peninsula to the roast duck to the tuna was absolutely fabulous. But what pushed our evening from a simple dinner... More

This restaurant is tucked under the railway bridge and not too easy to find, but well worth it. We enjoyed bluff oysters, salmon and tuna and. Millton Riesling (recommended by the waiter). The Harbourside tables provide a window on the city.

I came across an advert for this restaurant by chance - and am so pleased I did. I recommend you booking because for a Thursday night it was quite full. We were lucky enough to secure the last balcony table. When we arrived in the car park we were a tad disappointed because the building was behind what seemed to... More

We had a business dinner and had a very nice evening - the waiting staff were great, the food was very tasty and well presented. My tuna main was not quite as hot as I would have preferred but otherwise was very nice. However the licorice brulee dessert was amazing and can recommend that!

We visited this restaurant 2 weeks ago with a group of friends to celebrate a 70th birthday. The food was a bit disappointing. Pretty ho hum and not cheap. We had a set menu with a few choices for entree and main course. I chose the squid for entree - it was covered in sauce and hard to taste anything... More

Nice food and wine. Very noisy and service was a little brusque. This is not a place to go for an intimate meal as the acoustics make it very noisy when the restaurant is busy. Impatience on the part of the waitstaff was not well disguised.

A delightful location situated over the water, take your friends, family or loved one and you won't be disappointed with the ambience or more particularly the food and the service which are all excellent. A good and diverse menu will give you the options to select from not only gluten free, but all other options along with great steaks and... More
