Loved this place - don't normally eat gnocchi but my word, the gnocchi with mushrooms is superb, the side of roast potatoes I could have happily devoured by myself but I let the kids have some. Cute atmosphere and friendly wait staff- definitely worth a visit, oh the others had pizzas and said they were awesome.

We were staying in Wellington as part of our road trip around New Zealand. Wellington is full of restaurants and we picked this from many others. It was busy and we had to wait, but it was done in a friendly way. Good food and attentive staff - of particular note was the guy from the UK. Drinks are pricey... More

I used to think Scopa was the cutting edge of Italian cool – a paradoxical pizza palace of cool glass and warmth, elegance and earthiness, rustically delicious food paired with refined service and decor. Well, times have changed, a bit. The service is still there – attentive waiters, unfailingly pleasant yet unobtrusive, willing to accommodate a customer’s whims with courtesy... More

Best Pizza Pasta Coffee Ambiance and Service combo in Wellington by far!!!! My wife and I have eaten at moat pizza joints in Wellington and many throughout the world. This one is right up there with the best. It is a beautiful combination of friendly and attentive service, delicious food, great ambience / seating / surrounding, and all at a... More

What a sensational experience, pizzas were amazing as was the service. Clearly the staff enjoy working at this place and they have high standards. The staff were great with my seven year old daughter. In particular Leonardo made a huge effort to talk to her and make her comfortable while we had a few drinks. This is our second visit... More

My partner and I came here for a late dinner. They were pretty busy, the place was full but within 10 minutes we had our meals presented, which both were filling and very tasty. We were asked if we would like desert but decided on a hot drink which the waiter said you must try our Hot Chocolate its the... More

My partner and I came here for a late meal on Saturday night. Most of the other restaurants in the area closed at 10, but Scopa is open til 11. We both loved our orders, I had the mushroom gnocchi and she had the spaghetti w/ prawn, and we shared a side of asparagus. The gnocchi just melted in your... More

Myself and 2 friends went for dinner at Scopa Saturday evening. I was welcomed very warmly by a lovely British guy who said there would be a table shortly to have a drink. We waited maybe 15 minutes but that was perfect as the young guy kept us updated on how things were shaping up. When we got our table... More

We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table but that was OK. They were pretty busy! We had the calamari starter, a marguerita pizza and a side of roast potatoes - all very tasty and good value I felt. I would definitely go back (maybe on a less busy night, if there is such a thing!).

Great authentic pizza, some local twists to it, but one of the better pizza crusts to be had in Wellington. Not take-away cardboard or American-style overloaded with ingredient pizza. No, simple, delicious, the way pizza is meant to be. Good coffee, good ambience, and the quirkiest male urinals i have ever seen in a restaurant in Wellington.
