A regular for me, good vegetarian brunch spot. Today was raining and had to sit inside. Canned music angry and loud, very unpleasant; high energy for staff rather than relaxing customers. Left as soon as we could.

I’d been here before but not recently. The interior is a bit drab, kind of 1970’s dark wood with not enough light, but the food is good for a café. It’s survived for a long time on a main street busy with cafes and restaurants at the cheaper end of the scale, so it is presumably doing something right. What... More

I've been here plenty of times with friends and family as I used to live close by! Always great coffee, the cakes are good and the menu has variety! My last visit was a lunch stop and I had the burger of the day which for $17 was filled to the brim with ingredients and flavour :-) I like this... More

I like Baobab for many reasons but had been disappointed on my previous two visits there and had written a 'disappointed' review. However, I really enjoyed the food, the ambience and the service during my visit there last week. Baobab- thank you. Now I feel confident that the improved meals are back to their good standard. The service is always... More

Excellent service and consistently good food. A real gem for Newtown. Their calamari and choritzo, panfried gnocchi, and cashew and lentil burger are my favourite dishes.

I came here with my siblings for a Saturday morning brunch. They were very busy so there was a bit of a wait on food, but the service was very friendly and we were told beforehand about the wait. Lots of good vegetarian options, although only a couple of vegan options for my sister. I had the coconut French toast... More

The food here is excellent. I am not a huge breakfast fan, but the coconut french toast here blows my mind! Great food and a lovely chilled out garden out the back with lots of seating and shade. Thoroughly recommend!

I went for breakfast after leaving my partner in the hospital. I had a nice flat white and a vegetarian savoury muffin. The muffin wasn't very warm. The coffee was good. The music was too loud. There is a nice outdoor courtyard but it was too cool for that. I like the cafe but this wasn't my best experience.
