Decent food, not exactly the best export from HK but not a bad representation. The roast port skin (when I had it, which I know is very variable having eaten much of it in my life) wasn't very crispy but the taste wasn't bad. The lack of crisp though kind of killed it for me.

We order the Duck on rice, Eggplant on rice, vegie and a plate of Pork leg. The food comes quickly and the taste is all good. The environment is clean and open. Recommended.

This is a team lunch favorite. The restaurant has definitely seen better days but we don't go there for the surroundings, we go for the delicious and cheap food. The duck fat rice and triple meat platter are so good. Take your jacket as it can be freezing inside.

Friend invited me out for Peking Duck! Went to HK Bbq. Ordered PEKING DUCK!!! When it arrived, it was freshly roasted, but, initially, I noticed that the skin was not crispy! It had been just roasted, taken off the bone, plated, but did not look like A Peking Duck. On trying a piece, the reason for my misgivings came to... More

We also went with the grab one voucher. We'd never been to the restaurant before. The layout/ surroundings had a quite casual dining feel. They were very busy as it was peak time on a Saturday. We ordered the sweet corn chicken soup and the Peking duck with pancakes. The soup was yum. The duck took about an hour to... More

The house specialty of meats (BBQ pork, roast pork, duck) and rice (with usual condiments) is what you're hankering then, in Wellington, this is the place. The other (typical Chinese) offerings on the menu are 'ok' but in my opinion other local restaurants do those better. Nothing flash about the ambiance but that's not what HK BBQ is about. Service... We were there with the Grabone voucher for the peking duck. There was a long wait even though the restaurant was not busy. We ordered hot and sour soup and chicken and corn soup, it were OK. When our food arrived, it was actually roast duck with some very floury pancakes. It wasn't the actual peking duck with crispy skin.... More

We went here with a grabone voucher for Peking Duck. The decor isn't brilliant. We ordered an extra combination rice and chow mein to go with the duck. The waitress quickly took our order and mentioned bubble drinks. We ordered a peach ice tea bubble drink with pearls, it was wonderful, a slushy peach flavour ice tea with something at... More

One of my Aunt's family go to place when they wanted a taste of pork roast that is close to Philippine style of cooking. They have two branches now but Ive heard the service became slower for both. Also, the male owner is better cook than the wife, that's a certified feedback from the regular patron. Still they have big... More
