I met the erstwhile Andy in town and determined to pay a visit to see him in his own domain. Top staff, top crowd and top beer! They even let an Englishman like me in. Looking for a good rugby pub, look no further!

Last week on a Friday night me and my girlfriend were walking along Courtenay Place Wellington, and noticed this place with a unique building shape, we decide to go in. I was blown away by the amount of Welsh connections in there, as well as a lot of people having a good time. Was told this used to be a... More

I've just stayed in wellington for 2 weeks & visited this bar 3 times during my stay. Me and my friends fell in love with it on our first visit. Such a great atmosphere and lovely staff. Recommend the old mout hard cider!

I can't say enough good things about this place. I could have spent all night in here. The bartender, Ross, and the locals were hilarious. I felt like I was in a small town Welsh pub. The pool table is free to use and they have an awesome patio out back!

While staff were friendly and the place had the feel of a cosy pub, the stench of dampness was so overwhelming I had to leave. Made my drink even taste funny.

Popped in the day after Wales had played NZ in Wellington. I am sure that the atmosphere in there during the game was electric. Owner is very friendly as we're all the staff. However, it is a little grubby. That said, I would visit again

Loved the beer selection and atmosphere. Reasonable prices and well located for other things to do. You can do your laundry down the street while you grab a beer. Also has outdoor seating.

We popped in here after our coach driver pointed it out during a city tour. Intrigued, we decided to give it a try. As former residents in Wales we were delighted to find that this is a genuine Welsh pub, complete with genuine Welsh barman Andy who was charming. The over-the-top Welsh paraphernalia only added to the charm. As it... More
