I have been here a few times now but it's always a great experience. The food and drink menus are just amazing. My favourite experience was when the bar person sniffed the bottle of wine to check it before pouring me a glass, I don't see that very often.

This great bar restaurant is just half a block off Cuba Street, but it may as well be miles. Somehow the grungyness of Cuba Street doesn't travel this far. And interesting bar, inside and out, brings back memories of the 70's great paintings, been bag chairs on the lawn outside. All quite Bohemian. A great selection of beers and wines.... More

Wife & I found out that the band 'Wellington City Shake-em-on-Downers' were playing here the weekend we were visiting Wellington, so we decided to go here for dinner and to watch the band This is not your ordinary pub - they only do craft beer, not the regular DB / Macs Gold / Speights that most pubs do We had... Beer was good, with good beer menu to read. The food looked really good, like bar snacks, pizzas etc. We were welcomed by a very friendly door man, which was nice (for once!). Had a DJ playing, and then a band set up to play. Not really our taste, but seemed popular. Had a nice evening. The toilets were vile... More

Awesome bar set off to the side of a park in dixon st. Specializes in good craft beers with 16 on tap that rotare on a regular basis. Have had there pizzas before which are outstanding but there burger is the star. Staff are full of fun. When meals are ready the chef plays a few notes on a xylophone... More

This was an unplanned stop after finding a large grip of Morris Dancers frolicking on the lawns in front of Rouge and Vagabond. As you need refreshment while sitting in the sun on the lawn I tried some craft beer samples. They had two hand pulled beers on tap and at least 16 others available. Staff were very friendly.

I've been coming here over the years and I've never been let down. I love most of the food on the menu and really enjoy trying their large selection of craft beers. Have tasted everything from a simple IPA all the way to a beetroot infused beer and an Earl Grey ale. They have rotating taps, so there's usually something... More

Happened across here on a weeknight and so glad we did. Huge selection of a million or so craft beers. Seating is something of a premium so expect to stand!

within about 5-10 blocks there are at least 5 craft beer bars....the Malthouse, Rogue and Vagabond, Brew Liquor (or something to that effect), Fork and Brewer, Little Beer Quarter....I'm 61 and I guess past my prime....I could only handle 2 of them....At this place I got Hawke's Bay ginger fusion, which was terrific although could have been a ginger beer...
