I have taken my children in to kaffee eis for years and we have always enjoyed it with lovely people serving us and so friendly. The last few weeks have been a real disappontment in this way with the same person serving us with the same surly service. We almost feel like we are a nuisance and today she basically... More

Love Kaffee Eis, especially the passionfruit gelato, the best in Wellington. For the largest selection of flavours, try the Courtenay Place store. They are very happy to provide sample tastes of each flavour so you can try before you buy :)

Looked great from outside, the vibe was good, and I had high hopes that this would be one of those great Wellington Cafe's, Sadly not for us today. The service was pretty haphazard, our soup took an age to come out, in fact the kids had finished their panini's by the time they did. The soups were also disappointing, although... More

One of Wellington's great treasures is walking along Oriental Bay with a cone of Chocolate ice cream from Cafe Eis on a beautiful sunny day after a southerly has blown through!

Stumbled upon this wee gelato place and it was a great find! The staff was friendly and I was able to try lots of different flavours of gelato without feeling too bad. Haha feijoa was delish 😎 would put this on a must revisit in the future whether it's rain or shine

We had afternoon tea here. The coffee was lovely and so was the carrot cake. There was not much seating though.

The treats are always changing, so don't expect the same flavours. I say bring on the plum an blackcurrant, they are my all time favourites. Staff always attentive, no sitting behind the counter here.

Always the same - just great coffee. Our go to place for a ristretto or a flat white when in Wellington. Service us always friendly. And you can always supplement the coffee with their yummy gelato.

If you crave a nice ice-cream, the this is the place. My favorite flavour, which they don't have that often, is pistachio. Once in a while, they add new flavours too which you can try. The minestrone soup in nice as well, though it was slightly cold when I had it.

Always call here on our visit to oriental bay. Very good selection of ice creams. Always looking for something new tried Feijoa flavour with hazelnut chocolate as my topping. The Feijoa is refreshing after the chocolate. Do give it a try.
