Just arrived in Wellington. Chose this restaurant mostly on reviews and availability. Really excellent, well managed lovely staff and excellent food particularly the sharing plates for starters and puddings. Would definitely come back here

We chose to eat here to celebrate a birthday after looking up online. It was very quiet as it was a Monday night but that did not stop our waiter from offering incredible service. The food was wonderful - really delicious. We really enjoyed it. The service, as I said, was wonderful. Definitely a great place to go.

We came here for a dinner (4 couples). The venue has some real interesting history that it used to be Wellingtons first jail till it couldn't manage the number of prisioners. The "decor" in the restaurant is "interesting" to put it mildly - with some pieces of art really creepy. The food choice is very nouveau - you can't get... More

I enjoy the experience of eating and drinking new and exciting things with friends in Wellington and have been to many places. Z rates down on my scale of exciting as the menu has not changed since the last time I was there several years ago, decor outdated, and wine list sparse. When a menu says Crispy Skin (Pork Belly)... We were in Wellington on Christmas day and struggled to find any attractions open. Zibibbo offered a Christmas Dinner so we booked! It was definitely pricey. The dinner and drinks for two cost us over $400 (nzd). I'm not sure how the regular season prices compare. However, the food was incredible. We loved every minute and really felt we got... More

Recently my partner and I were fortunate enough to be able to attend a 6 course set menu feast at Zibibbo's. They host events like this a couple of times a year, where they really display how good they are. With a meal ranging from a charcuterie board to suckling pig, and with beef tartare and a roquefort cheesecake mixed... More

The 1st time I came was to taste the Wellington on a Plate menu the night after my partner proposed. The food was all amazing and cooked perfectly, nothing to fault, my partner and I agreed it was one of the best meals we have had. The service was great - fast and polite, and the cocktails are impressive -... More

We've had good food and service before, but this time it was mediocre food, high prices, and slow service. Nope.

I booked for 7 persons and as it was a special occasion I asked for a table away from the kitchen as it can be a little noisy. We were away around the corner which was preferred except that we were forgotten! The service was non existent, and the food arrived Luke warm...The staff were casual and lacked lustre. This was my... We shared a tapas platter before a concert and really enjoyed the local beer, the "mocktail" and the friendly, unrushed service. Reasonably priced.
