This place always delivers and gets better every time. Went on a Sunday and was so popular with people having a good time. Great place for the community to catch up.

Almost everything about this place felt underwhelming. We were greeted as we were seated with an impressive beer list. Everything went down-hill from there. We waited an eternity for someone to then actually come and take our drinks order even though 3 staff were standing around idly chatting. Over the night we were served by 4 different people. Our designated... More

This establishment is a brewery/pub/family restaurant. The décor is themed around the restaurant's name and quite quirky. Well spaced out inside and you don't feel 'over crowded'. Plenty of room. Fully licensed with a good range of craft beers, wines and other drinks. Very good service. Menu explained very well. We asked if our entrée bread to be without garlic... More

I live locally and so have been quite a few times. Great menu, the food is consistently good. The staff are friendly and accomodating. Nice selection of wine and beer, etc. Good atmosphere and love the decor. There is always a deal on food or an event, usually for the whole family so is a great place to take kids.

Visited with friends. They have a surprisingly large range of craft beers on tap. I started with my fave Panhead APA Supercharger, then branched out and tasted a couple of the less familiar ones on tap. I didn't eat on this visit, but have done so in the past. They position themselves as a gastro pub, but the food is... More

I'm a local - I live in the same street as OFB so pop down a fair bit for a drink, meal or catch up with friends. It's always a pleasant experience and I love how they support the community. Last weekend they hosted a fund raiser for 2 of the local primary schools which was well attended. The food... More

I went to One Fat bird for a birthday party. When I arrived it was very loud but it was nice we sat in a long table and it was far from the band so it wasn't loud. The menu had nice European dishes I ordered One posh bird which was this Chinese dish which had pan seared duck with... More

We're a bit addicted to One Fat Bird, for its staff, menu, range of craft beers, quiz night (Tuesday), live music (Friday), occasional charity quiz (Wednesday) and local buzz. The menu offers something for everyone (gluten free, vegan, meat-lover etc), and OFB is definitely family-friendly. Our current favourite thing is the Chef's secret sauce that accompanies the chicken wings. The... More

Went here for lunch with a group of work mates . The service and food were both very good and there is an extensive beer and wine list.I imagine the locals love it here and I will return .

OFB started out brilliant, stayed very good for ages, and then WHG took the manager and the head chef off to start up their next gastro pub in Tawa and OFB quickly became really average. Last visit "The Classic" $23 burger was dry and luke warm - I honestly couldn't even finish it.

Hi Noel, firstly can I just say that I'm very disappointed to see one of our locals review us so negatively, especially after being such a great loyal customer for so long now. I can assure you that both chef and manager are still here and have a huge input and presence in the bar still. I'm sad to see... More
